Super cute today… My little pumpkin decided to join me while I was doing my killer legs workout this morning… He wasn’t working out though… He was decking himself out in all of my workout exercise bands and slides LOL 😂
In the end, when It came time for me to do my stretches, he decided to make himself a “sleigh” out of my exercise mat and said he was going to slide down the hill with it 😂.
Never a dull moment with my little pumpkin around LOL. 😍😍
I am almost done the second round of my eight week program and in fact… I only have two workouts left for the week and I will be done! ✅

Have you ever found your life being so incredibly busy that it seems it is challenging to fit in the time even for basic self-care?
My life since March 2018 has been go-go-go and the time is going very fast… I cannot believe 8 months have gone by already! I am thankful that I make myself squeeze in some self care otherwise my health would be suffering…
When we’re busy, time tends to go by very fast… So if we don’t do the work to take care of ourself… Months can go by before we realize that our health is going downhill… Or worse, something bad happens and then we realize we haven’t looked after ourself for years.
A few basic things to ensure that we maintain our health during busy times are:
1-drink half your body weight in pounds in ounces of water every day and even more if you drink any coffee or alcohol !
2-Do something to be active every day… Whether it’s walking the dog or taking the stairs, walking a long distance to the shopping centre, lifting some weights, or doing a video work out..
3-Nutrition wise, it’s not so much about what you can eat, but far more about what we shouldn’t eat… We should avoid all processed food, Junk food, dyes, trans fats, and refined sugars for sure!
If all we manage to do is put in the three above items every single day, then our health will be far better and improve over time!
It’s not even really about our body weight… But… More about how active we are and what type of fuel we put into our body.

It has been quite the morning so far… I was downstairs doing HIIT training and the power to my video kept turning off in the storm repeatedly… 🤔
I finally gave up on exercising in the basement to video and came upstairs where I at least had battery powered light and then got creative and did my own creation of HIIT in my kitchen 😁. I will have to save my lift section for tomorrow’s workout but that is ok💪🏻
I then realized how lucky I was that I had a full hot water tank and water pressure to allow me to have a hot shower even if there’s no power… I was careful not to use any sharp objects in the shower considering that I couldn’t see in the dark.And then the lights/power came on just in time for me to put my make up on, blow-dry my hair and quickly make my icy superfood shake for breakfast! LOL
Sometimes, when things don’t want to work out for you … Just remember there’s always a way to adapt, smile,and to keep going to continue to enjoy life and to achieve your goals. Getting upset about the power would not have helped me at all, so I’m glad I was able to keep a stiff upper lip and keep going and now feel accomplished 😁
Thankfully, last night I printed all the papers and lab requisitions that I need for my many house calls today! So I’m good and prepared for my workday despite my morning challenges!!

I remember just over three years ago when I became a grandmother for the first time… Just how that felt (…omg, I am a grandma?)
It was at this moment that I took a look at myself and realized that I needed to work on my health and fitness! Having the new label of grandma was shocking and made me feel like I was getting “old”! The worst part was, that I was almost 50 pounds overweight and when I tried to go onto my lawn to play around with my daughter to do some gymnastics and some cart wheels like I used to… I literally suffered for weeks in pain after that… Which reinforced how old and awful I was feeling! I felt sore, tired, achy, miserable and downright fat and out of shape!
It was at that moment I made the determined decision to get myself back into shape! “Seriously!”, I had asked myself…”what happened to your body?”Eugh!!!
I took action at this point! I got myself a fitness coach, allowed myself to be “coachable”, joined my coach’s exercise recommended program, started superfood and other supplements to boost my energy and I totally transformed my body in a matter of a few months! I dropped 35 pounds, regained my energy and was even able to run, jump and do gymnastics without pain!Over those few months, my determination and my physiotherapist helped meto overcome my chronic knee and back pain and now I have NO MORE suffering!
WOW! Who knew this was possible?
In fact, I was so impressed with the coach and the program that I became a coach myself.I was totally inspired and wanted to help others to achieve their health and fitness goals like I did!I learned that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and LISTEN to your coach!

Have you ever had a dream where you could fight like they do on TV in those farfetched movies? Like fly through the air and drop kick, or knock down several people in minutes with your kick ass moves? During my workout this morning, I was visualizing just that! LOL😂.
It was so fun to imagine this during my whole 40 minutes of kicking, slashing and punching that I was actually laughing out loud at myself in the end! I seriously got the best workout this morning as a result and am still laughing as I type this post…😂
When our workout is fun and we get creative and imaginative, it really boosts motivation for the next workout! I am officially DONE ✅ day 49 of my current 91-day fitness challenge and it feels amazing!
The bonus now is that my mind really believes I have kicked someone’s ass who deserves it. I won’t mention any names 😉
You may be wondering a little about just how I ended up being here like this with you today.
Let me tell you a quick story about a couple years ago, I was so tired, sore, miserable and unhappy….had sore back, knees and whole body pain issues. Was overweight and living cheque to cheque and was truly in a bad place in life. .
At the time I was trying to find a way to pay bills as a single mom, eat clean and get into better shape..
I was struggling with juggling kids, grandson, work, looking after an acreage, horses, dogs and trying to get the bills paid. It felt like I had no time and certainly no energy to exercise and no money to buy the proper healthy food..
And I was getting more and more disgusted with the extra weight i was carrying around and realized just how out of shape I had become. I was frustrated with never having any money left over after payday. .
Then something really bad happened: I went outside to play with my kids on the lawn and suffered severely with body and back pain after that for weeks, and realized something had to change. I saw my doctor and every medical test was normal, which told me clearly that there was something seriously wrong with my lifestyle and habits..
Being in crappy shape like this meant I couldn’t be the kind of mom, grandma and friend I wanted to be and to be able to afford to do fun things in life like we deserved to do..
As you can imagine, I was in bad shape and desperate, but I wasn’t ready to give up on my dream of having my own business to build financial freedom and getting healthy again with the ultimate goal to be in the best shape of my life..

Was a tough challenge for myself on an early Monday morning today. I pushed just a little more weight than usual and was barely finishing the sets. By pushing myself just a little beyond what I had been comfortable with is the way to make just a bit of progress so that I will be even stronger for the next workout. If I keep lifting the same weights and doing the same exercises, there would be a plateau and no further progress made.
The same can be said with our life in general. If we do the same things, the same way every single day, we will never grow as a person, or achieve something new or better. Some people may call this a “rut”.
A mentor of mine once said. “The definition of insanity is when you keep doing the same thing day in and day out, over and over again …and yet expecting there to be different results.” How true is that? Don’t stay in your safe and comfortable little corner (rut) or your life will be rather boring and all of the people who are exciting, fun and progressive will be leaving you in the dust!
I am going to take a hard look at my life today and see what I can change to bring me closer to the goals that I want. I know that if I keep doing things the same that I truly will not get anywhere! Time to march forward and do a few things I am scared of today! 🙂
